Forty-something admin assistant in real life and writer in my Internet one. I've no formal training in graphic design, but the interplay of colour and pattern has always held a fascination for me. I'd been interested in this site for awhile, thanks to the Pattrn app, and finally screwed up the courage to try colouring some of my favorite templates.
Previously, I'd worked out my fascination on photography, and several of my own palettes (and profile photo) are based on those images, as per my Flickr photostream above. As you might notice, I have a real weakness for flowers and generally dainty things. Am trying to expand into more abstract patterns, with mixed results thus far. Thanks so much to everyone who shows their appreciation!
As for posting on my own page: this is a place to celebrate colour, and I have no problem with an ongoing scrapbook of that celebration being created here. At the same time, I know others would rather not, and that's OK too. If I loved your creation, it's because I wanted to show my appreciation, not because I'm expecting thanks. :)
