You know, there are so many things wrong with this piece it's difficult to ennumerate them. But I think it's the picture within the picture; the depiction of Elvis on velvet within a larger, decapitated St. Sebastian that makes it exponentially bad--like it's contemplating its own badness, it's metabad.
