ABOUT TAGS

See also WHY ADD DESCRIPTIVE TAGS TO PATTERN TEMPLATES?

PS: Can you see all the screenshot?
It appears that some hosting services may be slow in certain countries - If a screenshot seems missing please notify me. Thank you

>> BACK TO INDEX OF TUTORIALS
Tags are keywords or index terms, they enable your palette or pattern to be searched with other words than just the title or username.
example: The tag 'swirls' enables to search patterns like this OR search multiple tags OR tag+creator, or tag+date range, tag+hex code... - SO USEFUL!

Tags can also be searched in the pattern colorizor. So tag you templates so they won't get buried!

>> CL TAGS MUST BE MIN. 3 CHARACTERS (or you can't search)
>> Tags are separated by commas
>> Tags can be several words long
>> CL tags differentiate plural and singular forms

(It won't work if you've tagged 'flower' and search for 'flowers' - or the other way around - might as well add both "flower" and "flowers")

PS: That 'Add a Tag' button does not work yet

TAG INPUT AREAS

Tag input areas are available in ALL editors, Photocopa, Copaso, Seamless...

PS: if the above screenshot does not show - try this one
After adding the tags they are visible in the sidebar (like in the 1st screenshot above).

>> See an example of a pattern with many tags (look in the sidebar)

DO NOT ABUSE OF TAGS EITHER!!

Adding irrelevant tags or 'too many' is considered abuse.
Websites also has something similar to tags called "webpage keywords" - If a website adds too many, it can get banned by search engines!
