I'm having a difficult time making a site look good around this red (#b61d22) its like a dark red. Their logo is that color, and its really hard for me to make a site look good around that. Anyone have any suggestions?

Some colors I've tried and got an okay result with:

light blue (#e1ecf7)
blueish purple (#cfd9e2)
tans (#ebe9dd - #dcd7c4)
grey, silver, white

Its for a furniture site.. any help would be awesome.

What kind of furniture do they make/sell? Do you have a screenshot of anything we can look at?

A quick search for "furniture" palettes yielded several nice ones you could use as a starting point.



I took your logo color and your tans and added a warm brown and a rust color that seem to compliment.

Some interesting colors... not sure though. The current site is johnv.com. I originally designed the site around a blue I thought they were going to use.. but they crushed that idea lol. So I'll prob try to keep the same layout, but just use different colors.

I think the tans are working pretty well, I also think the original colors will work with the red. Here is something of a combination

I think I'm going to choose this blue instead (#526874). I shall post a screen shot when I'm done messing around with the colors. It is starting to look better. Thanks everyone :)

I like both designs. The blue design I like better, but since you have the use the red..

I'm looking forward to seeing how the blue looks with the red/tan design.
