Being an election year in the US, there's obviously a lot of red, white, and blue all around, and the sentiments around the colors of Old Glory are being touted on both sides with various undertones attached. I ask, though, besides the triumvirate rainbow of the American flag (and mind you, I'm not suggesting any sort of replacement or re-assessment of the value of this symbol), what colors do you associate with the messages, intentions, and general politics of the parties in our system? What would be the appropriate color schemes to tag to the messages of John McCain and Barack Obama, or even Ron Paul or any other candidates?

I suggest we get a little partisan on this one and go to town. ;-)

It might be the only time getting a little partisan brings us all truly together.

Personally I think McCain should find a new stylist, that tie was perfectly inappropriate for a TV screen! I am sick of the blue and red ties, BORING! I want to see some bright green or yellow ties. Green would be perfect for spreading an environmental message too. The colors don't even have to be bright though, maybe it would be distracting, but bring something new to the table! Please!

I think of these colors when I think of Obama. Energetic and warm, but with a cool environmentally green side, too.

but he's also old, so it might be his age to blame

For Politics in general, but totally during an election year,
Colorwise I say its all BROWN like poop- maybe some greens and pinks'
