I am new to CL and would like to invite fellow colourlovers to honestly react to/critique my palettes. I am not a graphic designer by profession ( i work in non-profit communications ) or an artist per se, but i am developing a serious abstract painting hobby simply because i feel compelled to do so.

I have appreciated the positive comments and support I've rec'd since joining CL just weeks ago. However, i am deeply interested in the ability of color to communicate emotions and ideas in my pursuit to paint in a non-objective manner. To hear people's honest reactions across the spectrum would be very helpful for me. Many of you have education, training and experience -- as I have read in the many discussion threads on voting, comments, etc. -- that would be of great value to me.

So yes, negative comments -- especially with an explanation as to why you had that reaction -- are not only welcome, but encouraged. I have faith that the people in this community who respond to this request will do so with integrity and insight.
